In our response we demonstrate how the NPPF should be viewed as one of the mechanisms to ensuring the delivery of the UKs legally binding climate and environmental targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Renewable technologies such as solar and storage will undoubtedly play a key role in the delivery of net zero 2050. Solar needs to be deployed at scale and speed and the NPPF should be redrafted to facilitate such projects to align with the Governments priorities to deliver, energy security, food security, reverse the loss of biodiversity, and net zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The planning system, including the NPPF will enable the Government to meet these ambitions and commitments.
