Solar marketing is full of confident numbers with hidden assumptions. We would rather publish ours. Every figure our calculator produces comes from the inputs you enter plus the assumptions listed below.

Annual consumption is estimated from your monthly bill and an assumed effective tariff of about ₹8.2 per unit unless you change it. System size is derived by dividing daily consumption by location-specific peak sun hours and a system performance factor of about 78%, then adjusted for shading.

Panel count assumes a standard module wattage and does not account for site-specific layout constraints, walkways, or structural limits identified during a survey.

Cost estimates use indicative per-kW rates that vary with structure height, cable runs, component selection and site conditions. Long-term projections apply annual tariff escalation of about 5%, annual module degradation of about 0.6%, and recurring maintenance costs.

Loan figures, where shown, use the interest rate and tenure you select and are illustrative — actual terms depend on your lender and credit assessment.

Subsidy amounts and net-metering rules are set by government authorities, differ by state and consumer category, and change over time. Any subsidy or export credit shown is illustrative. Eligibility, approval and disbursement are outside our control and are never guaranteed.

CO₂ avoidance and tree-equivalent figures use standard grid emission factors and are approximate. They are intended to give a sense of scale, not to serve as certified carbon accounting.

We do not promise zero electricity bills, guaranteed savings, guaranteed payback periods, guaranteed subsidy approval, or specific generation in any given month. Weather, soiling, outages, tariff changes and usage behaviour all affect real outcomes.
